William “Bill” Wasmer

William “Bill” Wasmer, age 77, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Jackson, Ohio on Feb. 14, 1937 to the late George Kelley and Mary “Ada” (Humphries) Wasmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Leonard Wasmer; brothers Danny and Joe Wasmer; sisters, Luetta Gallbraith and Sandy Shelton and an infant son, Mark Allen Wasmer.

Bill was a member of IBEW, Moose, AMVETS and the VFW. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and was an avid football fan.

He is survived by a son, Keith (Jana) Wasmer of North Lewisburg, Ohio; a daughter, Kelley (Robert) Roby of Indian Lake, Ohio; loving companion, Janet Edwards; sisters: Ilo June Knotts, Jeannie Foster, Caralee Moser, Shirley (Wally) Bowman, Sue Barnett and Toni Miller; brother, Bob (Tish) Wasmer; brother-in-law, Bill Shelton; grandchildren: Billy, Josh and Jeremy Wasmer, Ashley (T.J.) Owen and Codey Weiford; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Friday, April 18, from 4 to 8 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terry Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery.
