June Wright

June Wright, 84, of Jackson, Ohio, went home with the Lord at her home on Monday, March 24, 2014. She was born in Springfield, Ohio, on November 29, 1929, daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Baker Nichols.

She was a 1947 graduate of Allensville High School and received a secretarial degree from Manpower Business School in 1966. She studied for her CNA at Jenkins Memorial Health Facility and received that title in 1994. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the home healthcare field. She also managed her family’s dairy farm located near the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Wellston for five years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years in 1996, Daniel V. Wright; a grandson, Jonathan Wright in 1985; a brother, Earl R. Nichols; and a sister, Anna Mae Williams.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Pastor Dennis and Diana Wright of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Elder Douglas and Sandra Wright of Wellston, Ohio; a daughter with whom she made her home, Danette Wright of Jackson; five grandchildren, Darrell Wright, Amy Wright, Jeremy Wright, Joshua Wright, and Misty (Jason) Scurlock; and seven great-grandchildren, Victoria, Lane, Holden, Emma, Mattie, Quintin, and Jonathan.

Friends may call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the services at 1 p.m. Services will be officiated by Shawn Richendollar. June’s final place of rest will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston.
