Charles Edward Hollback

Charles “Charlie” Edward Hollback, age 87, of Oak Hill, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Four Winds in Jackson. He was born October 12, 1926 in Scioto County to the late Lewis and Billie (Carter) Hollback.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vada (Stiles) Hollback; son, Lew (Tracy) Hollback, of Wellston; daughter, Wilma (Paul) McNeal of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Andrea (Jeff) Heft of Oak Hill, Hannah Hollback of Wellston, Kayla McNeal, and Brianna McNeal, both of Oak Hill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Everett Hollback, Johnny Hollback, and Robert Hollback; and sisters, Ruby Potts, Margret Clark, Mary Davis, and Doris Stone.

Charlie worked at Cedar Heights Clay, was a member of Blackfork Freewill Baptist Church and was a resident at Four Winds for a year.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Stan Howard officiating. Burial was to follow at Bethel Cemetery.
