Mitchell B. James, age 67, of Chillicothe, Ohio and formerly of Oak Hill, Ohio and Xenia, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1946 to the late Emerson and Elodia (Fraley) James in Grayson, Kentucky.
He is survived by a daughter, Julia Denise Taylor; three granddaughters, Kierstyn, Megan, and Michaela Taylor; long-time friend, Janis James; as well as all of his Oak Hill friends, and his Chillicothe motorcycle buddies.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents is a son, Michael James.
He leaves behind wonderful memories, many smiles, and books full of poetry.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 16 prior to the service. A motorcycle ride will be held in early spring in his honor to celebrate his life.
