Gary B. Edwards, age 65, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. He was born December 6, 1948 in Oak Hill, Ohio to Hamel “HB” and Marcella (Delaney) Edwards.
Gary was a faithful employee at J-Vac Industries and was a basketball coach for Hope Haven School. He was a good brother, and a loving, caring friend to everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brenda (Boothe) Edwards; five brothers, David (Pat) Edwards of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Wayne (Inis) Edwards of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Stan (Carol) Edwards of Jackson, Ohio, Myron (Mary) Edwards of Colorado, and Billy (Anna Conley) Edwards of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Debbie (Steve) Taylor of Oak Hill, Ohio; adopted brother, Jimmy Edwards; a special niece, Tracey Conley; special friends, Tina Forshey, Dr. Stephen and Lori Owens; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Delaney.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. A service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Rev. Terry Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
