James C. Truesdell

James “Jimmy” Cleve Truesdell, age 60, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 21, 2013. He was born July 7, 1953 to the late Martin D. Truesdell and Birdie (Caudill) Truesdell.

He graduated from Oak Hill High School and retired from the Oak Hill Foundry. He was a man who loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by sisters, Patty (Pete) Horn of Portsmouth, Ohio and Mary (Kermit) Darling of Ashland, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Charles Tyler; nephews, Kasey Darling, Ben Darling, Philip Darling, and Patrick Hanshaw; nieces, Carla Kirkendall Evans, Heather Tyler, Jennifer (Andrew) Horn White, Rachel (Jerry) Horn Tilsley, and Angie Hanshaw; great-nephews, Ben Evans, Dominique Evans, and Christian Tyler; great-nieces, Kiersten Evans, Madison Tilsley, Kathryn Tilsley, Michaela Tilsley, and Kamryn Darling; as well as special friends, Freddy Cade, Cecil Dalton, Donnie Carr, Kathy (Harrison) Lewis, Mary (Harrison) Shaffer, and Charles “Groucho” Jenkins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Truesdell, and Earl Hanshaw; one sister, Helen Truesdell Tyler; and a nephew, Benjamin Horn.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends may call Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. A service will be held immediately after at the funeral home at 3 p.m. with Elder Tom Hysell officiating.
