James Earl Sharp, of Oak Hill, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at his home. He was born January 20, 1947 in Oak Hill to the late James Robert “Bob” Sharp and Annie (Davis) Canterberry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Kay (Miller) Sharp; second wife, Donna Faye (Kuhn) Sharp; and half brothers, Boone Canterberry and Terry Canterberry. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Earl and Laura Davis.
He is survived by his daughter, Angie (David) Seitz, of Oak Hill; sons, John (Candie) Sharp, of Jackson, and Cory Sharp, of Oak Hill; step son, Jerry (Charla) Caldwell, of Oak Hill; and step daughter, Angie Caldwell, of Oak Hill. Also surviving are grandchildren, Nicholas Sharp, of Jackson, Mariah Howard, of Jackson, Michael Caldwell, of Oak Hill, Jayden Sharp, of Jackson, and Kiana Sharp, of Alabama.
He was retired from Cedar Heights Clay Company. He enjoyed hunting, and playing the lottery.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday November 13, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
