Donna Malone Trace, age 47, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away at The Ohio State University Medical Center Friday, September 20, 2013. She was born May 26, 1966 to the late Leslie William “Bill” Malone and surviving Lois Swain, of Beaver, OH.
She is also survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Mac “Greg” Trace, of Jackson; three children, Shane Trace (David Gossard) of Columbus, OH, Brandon Trace (Payton Ervin) and Katlyn Trace, both of Jackson, OH; she is also survived by mother, Linda Malone (Tony) Payne, of Jackson, OH; sisters, Vivian (Jeff) Mullins, of Circleville, OH, Marlana (Randy) Evans, of Jackson, OH, Teresa Slusher and Loretta Payne, both of Beaver, OH; brothers, Leslie (Shannon) Malone, of Jackson, Leonard Swain, Jason Swain, and Keith Swain, all of Beaver, OH; mother-in-law, Carolyn (Dan) Gilliland, of Jackson; and father-in-law, Mac (Autumn) Trace, of Jackson. She also leaves behind, several brothers and sisters-in-law; Lynn (Keith) Denny, Ila Wickline, Mechelle (Greg) White, Angie (Mark) Goodwin, and Danny Gilliland, all of Jackson, and Tami (Adam) Smallwood, of Chicago IL. Donna also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, other family members, and many close and loving friends.
Donna was a 28-year employee of Jackson Building Materials in Jackson. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and an all-around great friend. Her smile and big, brown eyes made the room light up and made everyone’s day a little brighter. She loved walking with friends and loved to exercise. Donna’s death is a tragic loss to her family and friends and she will be missed by many.
Funeral services were to be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Hughes officiating, and burial to follow in Buckeye Cemetery. Friends were to call Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
