Cheryl A. Hutchinson, age 66, of Blackfork, OH died Monday, August 5, 2013 from a tragic car wreck. Cheryl was never married and was a lifelong resident of the Blackfork community. She was a graduate of Oak Hill High School with the class of 1966. Cheryl retired from the Meridian Automotive after 35 years of service. She was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Blackfork, OH at an early age. She loved the church and was always willing to support and help when called upon. Cheryl enjoyed being with family and friends and will be sadly missed by all in the community.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Dorothy (Keels) Hutchinson; and brother, Donald A. Hutchinson.
She is survived by a sister, Rosemary Hutchinson of Blackfork, OH; five brothers, Howell (Newt) Hutchinson, currently a resident of Arbors Nursing Home in Gallipolis, OH, Larry (Susan) Hutchinson of Blackfork, OH, Lonnie (Michelle) of Gallipolis, OH, Byron (Lonna) Hutchinson of Jackson, OH and Roger Hutchinson of Blackfork, OH; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Blackfork Union Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at the Blackfork Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill as well as one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday, August 9 at the church.
