Henry James Bloss

Henry James Bloss 88, a lifelong resident of Jackson, Ohio passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Edgewood Manor Nursing Facility of Wellston. He was born April 21, 1925 in Jackson, Ohio and was the son of the late Henry and Beatrice Lowe Bloss. He was retired from the DT&I Railroad and was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in WW II.

He is survived by three daughters: Cindy (Jim) Tyo of Sabina, Karen (Jay) Souders of Chillicothe, and Pam (Steve) Jarvis of Wellston; three grandchildren: Andrea (Paul) Popson of Midland, Chad Tyo of Wilmington and Jayson Souders of Chillicothe; brother and sister: Richard (Alma) Bloss of Jackson and Betty (Delver) Richards of Jackson; sisters-in-law, Mary Bloss and Phyllis Wickline of Jackson; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Claar Bloss; infant daughter Kathy and brother Charles Bloss.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Diaconal minister Janie Karl officiating with burial to follow in the Fairmount Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the DAV Chapter 45. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
