Sara “Sally” Hutchison, age 93, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Holzer Assisted Living in Jackson. Sally was born Jan. 16, 1920, to the late Chester D. and Blodwen (Dakin) Jacobs. She attended and was very active in the Jackson Christian Church. In later years, she attended the Presbyterian Church in Oak Hill. She was a very wonderful wife, mother and friend to many.
She is survived by daughters, Sharon (George) Needham of Oak Hill, Analee (Robert) Wallace of Green Valley, AZ and Janet Hutchison-Keenan of Athens; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-laws Analee Jacobs of Jackson and Dorothy Hutchison of Jackson.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Hutchison; brother, Bill Jacobs; son-in-law, Paul Jones; and nephew, Randy Jacobs.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 a the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow at the Franklin Valley Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holzer Hospice in Sally’s name.
