Charles W. Lambert, age 91, of Jackson, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Holzer Assisted Living of Jackson. He was born July 4, 1922 in Jackson County to the late George W. and Effie E. Horton Lambert. Upon retirement he enjoyed sending time on his farm and taking care of his horses.
He is survived by his children, Ronald C. Lambert and Sue Ann Batchelor; grandchildren, Clayton W. Lambert, Shannon Sue Phillips, Russell James Bachelor and Ronald L. Bachelor; great-grandchildren, Caytlon R. Lambert and Carissa L. Lambert; sisters, Jean Lloyd, Edna Wylodine (Richards) Taylor and Joyce Fraley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sisters, Robert Lambert, Margaret Forby, Rosemary (Mercer) Johnson and infant sister Florence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating and burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
