Edgar Ernest Criner, age 69, of Wellston, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born October 9, 1943 in Centenary, Ohio to the late Ernest L. Criner and Retha Sheets Criner. Edgar was a former auto mechanic for Sears for 26 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Portsmouth.

Edgar is survived by his companion, Cathy Lou Claar of Wellston; daughter, Lisa Baldwin of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Amanda Criner, Jessica Criner and Nathaniel Baldwin, and his sisters, Marilyn Rogers of Kentucky and Nina Criner of Gallipolis.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Criner; brother, Richard L. Criner and sister, Frances McAllister. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
