Melinda L. Adkins, age 46, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson, Ohio on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
She was born in Troy, Ohio, on Feb. 3, 1967. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence D. Haddox.
Melinda (Mindy) was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, who was loved by so many.
She is survived by her mother, Mollie Gilliland of Wellston; two wonderful daughters: Ally C. (Brian) Rider of Jackson and Kaysey L. Adkins and fiance Taylor Rhea of Jackson; three brothers: Paul D. Haddox of Chillicothe, Carl R. (Trish) Haddox of Jackson and Roger D. (Mindy) Haddox of Georgia; three sisters: twin sister Melissa S. (James) Nicholson of McArthur, Carolyn F. (Jim) Adams of Ray and Sheryl L. Edwards of Wellston; special grandchild, Aiden Scurlock; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Sunday, April 28, at 1:00 p.m.
Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Sunday. Burial will follow in the Campbell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melinda’s memory to the Atomic Credit Union, 498 McCarty Lane, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
