Gary Lee Stover

Gary Lee Stover, of Jackson, passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born in Jackson to the late Cavett and Geraldine (Miller) Stover and he grew up in Jamestown where he started his mark on life. He met the love of his life in 1960 and married her November 25, 1962. He was known around town as a very skilled carpenter, a fun loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved life to the fullest racing motorcycles, go-karts and loved running in the woods in his RZR.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn Joyce (Stevens) Stover; two daughters, Karla (Steve) Lillestol of Lopez Island, WA, and Metisse (Ray) Hoover of Jackson; grandchildren, Brittany (Tim) Walters, Tyler Hoover; and great-grandson, Braxton Walters.

He was the oldest of five surviving Rita (Tom) Duncan, Lowell (Kathy) Stover, Greg (Marion) Stover and Melanie (Fred) Stamshorn.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Wayne Searls officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
