Esther M. Drake, age 79, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at her residence. She was born Nov. 22, 1933 in Jackson, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Olive (Baker) Coyan; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Drake; three sons: Steve Meacham of Jackson, Mike Meacham of Wellston and Tim Meacham of Jackson; three brothers: Paul Coyan of Pataskala, Ohio, Robert Coyan of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Ronald Coyan of Marengo, Ohio; three sisters: Mary Musick of Jackson, Martha Cavey of Jackson and Joyce Oliver of Marysville, Ohio; brother-in-law, Jim (Marsha) Drake; sister-in-law, Betty Dillon; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Esther was a retired 33-year employee of the Jackson Plastics Plant, life member of the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church and loved gardening and flowers.
Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Thursday, April 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rick Christman officiating.
