Robert Murphy, 38, of Wellston, departed from this life Friday, April 5, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. The son of the late Robert and Patricia Mann Murphy, he was born July 5, 1974, at Portsmouth, Ohio. Robert was a 1993 graduate of Paint Valley High School and later, carpentry school. He was a home builder and dry waller and, until his health failed, he was a minister of the gospel at several local and distant churches.
Robert is survived by his wife, the former Saundra L. Moody; three daughters, Katherine, Brianna and Bobby Sue; and a brother, Walter of Laurelville, Ohio. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his good friends, Curtis and Sherry Tatman.
To celebrate Robert’s life, there will be a memorial service scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home of Wellston.
