Donald E. Woods, age 71, of Oak Hill passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Dec. 3, 1941 to the late Granville Woods and Delphia (McCain) Woodruff.
He is survived by his wife Bertie (Rawlins) Woods, of Oak Hill; sons, Donald A. Woods and Timmy Woods, both of Oak Hill; daughter, Becky Woods, of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Robert, Adam, Ashley, Megan, Kendra and Shiann Woods; great grandsons, Austin and Joseph Woods. He is also survived by siblings, Delmar Woods, Nancy Jones, Mary Gamble and Carol Perkins and several nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grand daughter, Jennifer Woods; and two brothers, Paul and Leonard Woods.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Pastor Ronnie Rawlins officiating. Burial will in the Woods Family Cemetery in Oak Hill. Friends may call Friday, March 8, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
