Elsie Louise Caudill Hughes was born June 7, 1930, in Scioto County to Curtis and Hulda Smith Caudill and passed away January 19, 2013 in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Thomas J. Hughes; son Tom, Jr. and daughters, Kathy and Linda.
She is survived by sons, Curtis (Becky) and Jack (Bobbi) of Jackson; daughters, Jo Ellen Koyle (Jeff Dickason) of Troy, Debbie Sexton (Kirk) of Springfield, and Carolyn Reilly (Bill) of Plain City and goddaughter Cora Sologic of Springfield, who was raised in the home; sisters, Juanita Toland and Hazel Hicks; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her wishes to be cremated were carried out under the direction of Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. A memorial service for the immediate family will be held at a later date.
