Mary Marie Yates, age 89, of Wellston, Ohio passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. She was born Aug. 13, 1923 to the late Elmer and Effie Woolum.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Diana Hood of Columbus, Ohio and Marsha White of Jackson, Ohio; seven grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Yates; son, Edward (Jim) Yates; sister, Ruth Taylor; brother, Othel Woolum; grandson, Brenton Dale Dean.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, with burial to follow at C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at the funeral home.
