Juanita Patton McNeal, age 85, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at the Jenkins Memorial Nursing Facility in Wellston. She was born October 10, 1927 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer Patton, Sr. and Helen Strong Patton.
Juanita was a former employee of the Hercules Trouser Company in Wellston and then later retired from General Motors where she was employed for 30 years. She was a former very active member of the American Legion Post 371 Ladies Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Post 9092 Ladies Auxiliary.
Juanita is survived by her brother, Jerry Patton (companion, Janet Davis) of Wellston, and her sister, Jane Ross of Hilliard, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Otho Leroy McNeal in 1998; brothers, Elmer Patton, Jr. (Lucy) and Joe Patton (Betty); sister, Sue Canter (Harry); sister-in-law, Shirley Patton; brother-in-law, Curtis Ross and nephew, Donald Patton.
At Juanita’s request, there will be no public calling hours and a private graveside service will be held for the family at the Ridgewood Cemetery with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home.
