Mary Lue McCumber

Mary Lue McCumber, age 74, of Wellston, was promoted to Glory and greeted by her Heavenly Father, loving husband and many loved ones and friends on Sunday, November 18, 2012, from the Edgewood Manor Nursing Facility in Wellston. She was born June 19, 1938 in Hamden, Ohio, the daughter of the late Pearl and Emma Barnes Eberts.

Mary Lue was a 1956 graduate of Hamden High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a dedicated Christian lady who was always there for her family, friends and church. She was a member of the former Wills Chapel Church.

Mary Lue is survived by her daughter, Melissa McCumber Fitch of Wellston; grandchildren, Robert R. Fitch, Jr. of Wellston and Malorie Fitch Zickafoose (Josh) of Nelsonville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Janet McCumber of Nelsonville; sisters-in-law, Frances Eberts of Hamden and Rachel Albright of Marion, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, Mary Lue was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William “Bill” McCumber in 2002; brothers and sister-in-law, Don Eberts and Bert and Margurite Eberts; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Bill Simmons, Avonelle and Edwin “Skinny” Angel and Edna Winifred “Binky” Eberts, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Opal and Woodrow Bennett, Dorothy and Ray Smith and Ted Coy.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
