Robert F. “Bob” Saunders

Robert F. “Bob” Saunders, 74, of Londonderry, passed away surrounded by his family, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born September 7, 1938 in Dundas, to the late Albert F. and Sally Lee Saunders.

Bob was married for 54 years to Patty Hensler Saunders, who survives. He was a retired mechanic.

Bob loved and raised his four children, Joe (Cindy) Saunders, Garry (Robin Butler) Saunders, Theresa (David) Mercer and Lisa (Eddie) Sagraves; eight grandchildren, Patricia (Chris) Trivette, Melissa, Ryan and Emily Saunders, Andrea, Ashley and Bradley Mercer and Alisha Sagraves; one great-grandson, Colin Trivette and one great-grandson to be, Bransen Saunders; three sisters, Donna (Louie) Whitis, Phyllis Stinnett and Joan (Mike) Failor and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and George Saunders.

“Dad loved working hard and helping others and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We love you dad!”

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High Street, McArthur, with Rev. James Saunders officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
