John L. Kerr Sr., age 70, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on May 10, 1942. He was preceded in death by his mother Goldie Kerr and sister Opal Ross.
He is survived by three sons: Jason Kerr, Jammie (Barbara) Kerr, and Johnny (Daffeney) Kerr; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; several nieces and nephews, and one special niece, Vicki.
John was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Campbell Cemetery.
