Eleanor J. Norris

Eleanor J. Norris, 75, of Wellston, Ohio, went home with her Lord on Friday morning, September 14, 2012, at Jenkins Memorial Health Facility. She was born in Wellston on November 7, 1936, daughter of the late Herbert and Gladys Pittenger Owrey. She was a 1954 graduate of Wellston High School. She was the co-owner of Norris’ Restaurant for many years in downtown Wellston. In her spare time she enjoyed all aspects of homemaking and her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Owrey, and a grandson, Treavor Meade.

Surviving are two sons, Max “Chip” Norris II and wife, Annaliese, of Albany, Ohio; and David Norris and wife, Lesley, of Wellston; one daughter, Joy Meade and husband Tony, of Wellston; six grandsons and one great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the chapel with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating. Eleanor’s final resting place will be Ridgewood Cemetery.
