Loren Henry Lambert

Loren Henry Lambert, 75, of Jackson, OH, went peacefully to be with the Lord at his residence on Wednesday evening, Sept. 12, 2012 with his family at his side. He was a 1955 graduate of Vinton High School and he retired from the American National Can Corp., Obetz, OH in 1989. He attended the First Baptist Church, Jackson, OH. Loren was born on Dec. 9, 1936, at Rio Grande, OH, son of the late Henry and Lena Offutt Lambert.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Caton Brakenbury Lambert, whom he married on May 12, 2001, in Jackson, OH. Also surviving are a son and a daughter, Loren Lambert Jr., Nelsonville, OH and Vicky (Bob) DeMao, Bonita Springs, FL; a grandson, Chad (Melissa) Lambert, Colorado Springs, CO and great-grandchildren, Malia and Cyrus.

In addition he is survived by four step-children: Ken Brakenbury, Apex, NC, Debra Colley, Madison, AL, Etta Wallace, Jackson, OH and Kim Riegel, Jackson, OH; six step-grandchildren: Chris and Adam Brakenbury, Allen Colley, Morgan and Bryn Williams, Cody and Tanner Riegel; and four sisters: Mary Ann McDonald, Vinton, OH, Anna (Joe) Brown, Woodsfield, OH, Clara Mae (Larry) Folden, Bidwell, OH, and Linda (Jim) Duncan, Florence, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Silvia Irene Lambert.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St., Vinton, OH. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends and family may call on Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m.
