Jason Mark Dunn, age 34, of Elyria, Ohio, formerly of Oak Hill, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born on February 19, 1978 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Steve Dunn and Lisa Staten, of Oak Hill, Ohio. Jason graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1996, where he played baseball, basketball and football in which he lettered. Jason worked for Custom Air Conditioning in Columbus, Ohio, before going to Columbus State, where he graduated December 2008 as a registered nurse. He was currently working at Elyria Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa (Ted) Staten, and Steve (Kelly) Dunn, all of Oak Hill; brothers, Joshua Dunn, of Jackson, Jeremiah, Mark and Sean Dunn, all of Oak Hill, Justin Staten, of Dayton; one sister, Stefanie (Brian) Cox, of Oak Hill; a very special friend, Angie Cherrington and her son Daniel, whom Jason thought of as a son; grandparents, Larry and Lois Dunn; aunt Christa Jayjohn and uncles, Eric Landrum, all of Oak Hill, and Jared Dunn, of Elyria, Ohio; great-grandmother, Evelyn York, of Oak Hill; nephews, Marshall Dunn, of Jackson, Aiden Cox, of Oak Hill and niece, Zoe Dunn, of Oak Hill.
Jason was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, and friend. He was greatly loved and will be missed very much by all. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Carlotte McCain, great-grandparents, Faye Landrum, and Haydon and Lillian Herbert, and one uncle, Jeff Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Kuhner-Lewis) of Oak Hill with Rev Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in C.M.
