William Michael “Mike” Metzler

William Michael “Mike” Metzler, age 54 of Bonneau, South Carolina, formerly of Oak Hill, passed away on May 18, 2012 at his home. Mike was born September 15, 1957, in Oak Hill, Ohio he was the son of the late William L. and Lola (Wallace) Metzler. He attended the Oak Hill High School. Mike also attended the Trinity Wesleyan Church prior to moving to South Carolina.

Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Lonie and Gertrude Metzler, Albert and Emma Wallace and special friend Charlie Campbell.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Lonene Michelle Metzler of Bonneau, South Carolina; son Micheal Dustin “Dusty” Metzler also of South Carolina; one brother, Thomas (Freda) Metzler of Oak Hill, ; one grandson Cory Clonch and granddaughter, Lilly Clonch, which are both of Bonneau, South Carolina; two nieces, Stephanie (Frank) Windle of Oak Hill,; Courtney Metzler (Jeff Howell) Of Oak Hill and one great-nephew Gavin S. Howell of Oak Hill.

Mike also has extended family that was very special to his heart, which include Trina Myers Metzler, Ginetta and Eva Abbott, who also knew him as Dad as well as children, Brooklyn, Corbin, Kaylin, Nini and Keeton who knew him as Papaw.

Mike will be truly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. conducted at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Fred Crabtree officiating, burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday May 21, at the funeral home.
