Janet Ruth (Schmid) Forsyth, age 87, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Jackson, Ohio, passed peacefully away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Hospice Center in Wake County North Carolina. She was born May 12, 1924 in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Edwin F. and Elsie (Bartlett) Schmid. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson. She worked as an executive secretary at Goodyear in Jackson.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Greg (Peggy) Forsyth; grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, and Jack Forsyth, all of Cary, North Carolina; and brother, Albert Schmid, of Wheelersburg, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Paul E. Forsyth, who passed away December 18, 2002.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9 until 11 a.m.
