Howard (Ray) Curtis

Howard (Ray) Curtis, age 80, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Scioto County April 22, 1931 to the late Milford and Garnet (Chamblein) Curtis.

He is survived by wife, Betty Sharp (Betts) Curtis; daughter, Faye Curtis Long and special friend, Wesley Schacht of Jackson; step-daughters, Linda (Rod) West of Foster, Ky., Diane Vallee of Wilmington, Ohio; step-son, Robert Sharp of Portland, Oregon; and daughters-in-law, Nancy Curtis of Georgetown, La., Shannon Curtis of Alabama. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Stephen Ray Curtis and Eric James Curtis and step daughter, Anna Lou Sharp.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service in Jackson and the family requests the omission of flowers. He will be flown to Georgetown, La. where a family viewing and funeral will be conducted at the Georgetown Baptist Church. Burial will be in the family plot, Stark Cemetery in Georgetown, La.
