Mary Jane (Murphy) Hunter

Mary Jane (Murphy) Hunter, age 52, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away March 8, 2012 at her home. Mary Jane was born June 24, 1959 in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Martha (Evans) Murphy and John A, Murphy, Sr. She was married to John Hunter, Sr. who survives her. Mary Jane was the manager of H&R Block in Jackson.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by step-children, John Hunter, Jr., Sarah and Jeff Hunter, all of Jackson; grandchildren, Brooke and Logan Hunter of Jackson; brother, Dan (Aggie) Murphy of Lancaster; aunt, Janet (Evans) Riegel of Jackson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, John Murphy, Jr.

Mary Jane loved taking care of her husband, gardening, working hard at everything and keeping all of her friends close to her. She will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. David Roach officiating and burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the funeral home.
