Leonard H. Stump

Leonard H. Stump, age 61, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his residence.  He was born in Freeburn, Kentucky on April 21, 1950.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Lucille (Tomblin) Stump.

Leonard served as an umpire for 27 years for the OHSAA; housed several foreign exchange students; was an avid cook, fisher, golfer and enjoyed watching sports.

He is survived by his wife Deloris (Stepp) Stump; daughters, Tina and Sondra Stump; sons, Calvin and Nathan Stump; three brothers, Elmer (Dorothy) Stump, Buddy (Margie) Stump, Monvil (Judy) Stump, Clinton Stump; two sisters, Dimple (Jerry) O’Quinn, and Carol Sue (Monk) Sanders; grandchildren: Victoria Stump, Patience Stump, Austin Teschner, Aaron Stump, and two additional grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Evangelical Community Church, 5104 State Route 93, Oak Hill, Ohio with Rev. Stan Howard officiating and burial to follow in the Stump Family Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, up to the time of the service on Sunday.
