Vicki Lou McPherson, age 53, of Jackson, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at OSU Hospital in Columbus. She recently resided in Vinton County on Buck Lane. She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio December 19, 1958. She was the daughter of Faye and Arnold McPherson of Jackson.
Vicki was a graduate of Jackson High School in 1976 and was a graduate of Ohio University. She was an EMT and Paramedic for SEOMS, then worked for private ambulance services before securing employment with Ohio State University where she worked until retirement. Vicki was a talented singer/songwriter and had performed in the area since high school. Most recently she was performing in a band with her brother David.
She is survived by her mother and father, Faye and Arnold McPherson; her brothers, Michael (Gloria) McPherson of Jackson, David (Becki) McPherson of Vinton County; nieces, Cassidy McPherson of Vinton County, Linda McPherson of McArthur, Kelly (Jeff) McCall of Albany, and Beth (John) Jamieson of Aurora, Colorado; great-nieces Hannah Walker, Lauren McCall, Ava McCall, Lizzie Bell Jones, Isabella Jamieson, and one nephew, Jacob Jamieson. She is also survived by her good close friend Sondra Franklin Sheward of Marysville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Pastor Nelson Sharp officiating and burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
