Steven R. McKenzie, 59, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012, at his home. The son of the late Hargus McKenzie and Charlotte McKenzie of Jackson, Steven was born December 25, 1952, at Gallipolis.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Donna Seymour McKenzie; his son, Butch (Angel) of Wellston and daughter, Stephanie (Ronnie) Fisher, also of Wellston; grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Fisher and Jace McKenzie; and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Bryson, Bentley and Hunter. Also surviving are brothers, Mike (Martha) O’Roark of Mt. Orab, Larry (Brandy) McKenzie and Tim McKenzie, both of Wellston; sisters, Rita (Roger) Channell of South Carolina, Leesa Fogel of Chillicothe and Sue (Bob) VanWie of Jackson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steven’s family is pleased to invite his many friends to a time of remembrance and sharing that will take place this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home of Wellston, with a memorial service officiated by Pastor Jack Hughes to follow at 1 p.m. The family requests, that in lieu of floral offerings, donations to Heartland Hospice, P.O. Box 400, Lucasville, OH 45648, be given in Steven’s honor. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home.
