JCOGS Family History file index at the Jackson City Library
Our Family History Files are available in a file cabinet, located in the genealogy section at the Jackson (Ohio) city library. The file cabinet is located beside the microfilm reader/printer. See the desk clerks if you have questions. File contents may be copied by library patrons, but we ask that you please return the file contents to their proper file folder and return them to their proper place in the file cabinet. Surnames/Individuals are listed on index cards located on top of the file cabinet. After you have located the surname you are searching you will notice the reference number for the family file. Use this number to locate the files in the Family File cabinet.
We will be placing the images of files numbered 1 – 350 in sections of 50 here at our website along with the complete images of the index cards sorted in surname indices. The remaining files will be scanned and added as time permits.
