Terrence C. “Terry” Hill

Terrence C. “Terry” Hill, 64, of Ponce Inlet, Florida, passed away at his home Wednesday, June 6, 2012 following a brief illness. He was born July 29, 1947 in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia, to the late Francis E. “Gene” Hill and Cora (Boyles) Hill, who survives. The second of five children, he is also survived by sister Frances Lynn (Barney) Senff, and brothers Wm. Erik Hill, Joseph T. Hill, and Donn R. Hill.

Mr. Hill leaves behind his only child, Elizabeth (Eric) Moore, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and two daughters who truly loved him as their “Dad”, Parichart Dissayanun and Supassara Manawatanakij, both of Tampa, Florida. He was blessed with four grandchildren whom he adored, Methdo, Eli, Cherith, and Killian. Also surviving are nieces Lisa (Bob) Large, Susan (Albert) Price, and nephew Jonathan (Erin) Canter, all of Chillicothe, Ohio, along with numerous great-nieces and -nephews.

Terry, or “T.C.” as he was most affectionately known, came to Ohio with his parents and sister Lynn at age six, attending Harvey Wells and Wellston High Schools, before moving to Chillicothe in 1962. A 1965 graduate of Chillicothe High School, he briefly attended Ohio University-Chillicothe before joining the United States Army in 1966. He attained the rank of Captain and served two tours during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Vietnam Vets of America, V.F.W., and Amvets. Returning to civilian life, his experience in the military quickly translated into a career which would take him to numerous countries around the world, eventually returning to the United States to focus on Project Management in the construction industry. In 1995 he graduated from Liberty University with a BA in Business Administration. He retired in 2010 and moved to Ponce Inlet, Florida. Terry was an avid outdoorsman with a great passion for fishing, camping, and boating. He loved music and family get-togethers with relatives and friends alike. His guiding principles in life were God, Country, Family.

His life was enriched by many wonderful canine companions, and he loved all creatures great and small. He was a devoted and lifelong fan of Ohio State Buckeye Sports which he followed closely no matter where he lived. ” T.C.” approached most everyone he met with dignity, civility, respect, and a smile. He will be deeply missed by a huge extended family and many lifelong friends.
