Verlincha Ann Peters Potter

Verlincha Ann Peters Potter, of Forest, formerly of Worthington, Ohio, died on Thursday, April 11, 2013 of Alzheimer’s disease.

Ann was the wife of the late John Willard “Bill” Potter. She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Potter Stulz and her husband, Dexter, of Davidson, NC and Mary Potter Young and her husband, Lee, of Smyrna, Tennessee. Ann is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many friends and blended family members.

Ann was born in Jackson, Ohio on December 3, 1918. She was the founder of Laura’s Harmonettes, a popular singing group in the 1930’s. She worked for the Ohio Fuel Gas Company in Jackson and was the Financial Secretary-Treasurer of the Worthington Presbyterian Church for many years. She was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

She will be remembered for her beautiful singing ability, her happy, energetic disposition and her most engaging smile.

A memorial service will be held for Ann at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family members request donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Ohio.
