Michael Gordon Pfancuff, age 65, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on March 21, 1953 to the late Winston and Helen (Parks) Pfancuff.
He is survived by his brother, Stephen (Judi) Pfancuff, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; sister, Jill (Gerry) Harris, of Dublin, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike graduated from Jackson High School in 1971, where he was a member of the Jackson Ironmen Basketball Team. He then served in the United States Marine Corps. A member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mike made his living as an independent truck driver, traveling the width and breadth of the United States. A life-long Cincinnati Reds fan, he also loved football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He relished hearing family history from his cousin, Phyllis Handley. Friends may call Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Memorial services will be held immediately following the calling hours at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
