Leroy Bentley, age 63 of Wellston, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born in McArthur, Ohio on April 13, 1954 to the late Desley and Pluma (Smallwood) Bentley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Bentley.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Humphreys) Bentley, a son, Joey; daughters: Lisa and Julie; step-son, Brian; step-daughter, Melody; a brother, Timothy; and six sisters: Delores, Betty, Darlene, Grace, Debbie and Anita. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Leroy was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness House of Prayer. He loved to sing and preach the Gospel. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and going to the Smokey Mountains.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randolph Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
