William “Bill” Robert Parks, age 79, of Jackson, Ohio left for his heavenly home on May 4, 2021. Bill was a 1959 graduate of Oak Hill High School. After graduation, Bill attended Hobart College for welding, and then began his career at Waterloo Coal Co., later becoming an owner. Bill retired from there and spent most of his time at his campground in Jackson, where he loved, and was always surrounded by his family.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Davis) Parks, and his father, Samuel Parks.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Margie Parks; his children Scott Parks, William “Billy” (Carol) Green, Melanie Parks, Kelli (Kevin) Garaffa, Danielle Dulaney, and bonus son, Mike Grow; Grandchildren Ashley (Rich) Erwin, Travis Green, Joshua Fisher, Zachary Parks, Justin (Rachel) Fisher, Morgan (Claire) Green, Nolan Schepner, Samantha Dulaney, Finn Thurston and William Parks; Great Grandchildren Gwendolyn Erwin, Trevon Erwin, Maddox Fisher, Boston Fisher, Abigail Fisher, Molly Erwin, Marshall Fisher, and Addelyn May Green.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.
The family requests any remembrance donations to be made to the local Jackson County Dog Pound.
