Wanda Lee Hale, age 75, died at home on August 7, 2013. She was born December 7, 1937 in Decatur, Ohio. She resided in Oak Hill. Wanda was a loving wife to her husband David, who preceded her in death, and mother to five surviving children: Doug (Linda) Hale, Greg (Valerie) Hale, Carla (Charles) Burchett, Jeff (Andrea) Hale, Michael (Joy) Hale; and beloved family friend, Mike Stumbo.
Survivors also include brothers, Bob (Carol) Malone and Doug (Phyllis) Malone, of Pennsylvania; sisters, Shirley (Wade) Johnson, of Marion, Ohio, Barb Bartels, of Patriot, Ohio, and ten grandchildren: Whitney (Kevin) Crabtree, JD Hale, Cody Hale, Westen Hale, Griffin Hale, Erin Hale, Taylor Hale, Halee Burchett, Hannah Burchett and Mitchell Hale; and one great-grandchild, Baylee Crabtree.
In addition to her husband, David and parents, Wanda was preceded in death by brothers, Lee, Wendell, and Melvin Malone.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
