Virgil Leroy Skaggs, age 73, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Holzer Medical Center of Gallipolis. He was born January 28, 1948, to the late Brack W. and Carrie Moore Skaggs.
Virgil loved to be outdoors walking around but, most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters: Jennifer (Edgar) Spencer and Kristie Rose; siblings: Joe (Janet) Skaggs and Betty West; grandchildren: Jonathan, Edgar, Brad, Justin and Jordan; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Frank, Wanda, Madeline, Imogene, Edith and Charlotte.
This world will not be the same without him, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. up to the time of the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com
