Susie McKenzie, age 76, of McArthur, OH passed away Friday, August 30, 2013. She was born February 5, 1937 in Ross County, OH, daughter to the late John and Ellen (Griffith) Holbert.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen (Griffith) Holbert; her husband, James McKenzie; two sons, Lonnie Potter and Gerald Kevin Potter; three grandchildren, Jerry Allen, Cory James, and Jeffrey Jr.; five sisters, Eva Rapp, Mildred Lytle, Helen McDaniel, Madeline Myers and Birdie Potter; and four brothers, Homer Evans, Walter Evans, Glenn Holbert, and Robert Holbert.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry (Barbie) McKenzie, Jeff (Amy) McKenzie, James McKenzie, and Joe (Theresa) McKenzie; three daughters, Nancy (Mark) Ousley, Ruth (Scott) Walker, and Becky Hale; two sisters, Margaret Southers and Bessie Clements; two brothers, John Holbert and Joe Holbert; and 22 grandchildren: Tiffany McKenzie, Abbagale Hale, Olivia Hale, Emily Snyder, Josey Walker, Andrew Walker, Benson Walker, Hope McKenzie, Robert McKenzie Jr., Joellen McKenzie, Amanda McKenzie, Randy J. Hixon, James William Hixon, Travis Foster, Amanda Foster, Dakota McKenzie, Asia McKenzie, Shania McKenzie, Teresa Meadows, Michael Meadows, Gerald K. Cox, and Elizabeth Potter; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson, OH. Friends and family were to call on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. Burial was to follow in Beaver Union Cemetery.
