By | December 18, 2020

Pastor Rondall T. Walker, Sr., 75, of Oak Hill, Ohio, took his heavenly flight Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 from the Huntington VA Hospital in West Virginia. Rondall was born Dec. 14, 1945 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Estill and Maggie (Fields) Walker.

Rondall married the love of his life, Donna, on Oct. 15, 1967 just one week before leaving to fight in the Vietnam War. Once he returned from Vietnam, he and his new bride moved to Fort Knox, KY where he was stationed, and they started their family. Later, he was handpicked by the United States Pentagon to go to West Point, NY for his outstanding skills. While enlisted in the United States Army he was promoted to Staff Sgt. E-6 and received two Bronze Stars for two special missions in Vietnam. Including his time with the Ohio National Guard, he proudly served 12 years for his country.

Rondall worked many years for the Oak Hill Chevrolet Garage and built Walker’s Garage in Pyro where he was self-employed and very successful because of his knowledge and integrity. He’s had numerous achievements in life, but his greatest achievement was when he turned his life over to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 33 years ago. He not only preached the Word of God, but he was a Living Testimony to others.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 53 years, Donna (Simpson) Walker; his son, Rondall II and his wife, Wendy, whom he lovingly called “Wednesday”; his daughter, Crystal; and three grandchildren, that he loved so very much, Daniel Walker, Rebecca and her husband Kyle Wright and Katie Cline, all of Oak Hill. Also surviving are his two precious great-grandsons, Liam Isaiah and Roman Alexander, of Oak Hill; his very special brother, Don Walker, of Tennessee and sister-in-law, Gracie Fairchild; as well as his adopted daughter by heart, Jennifer Marks, church family, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rondall was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ora and Barbara Kay Spencer; and three half-brothers, Junior, Frank and Ed, as well as twin infant siblings, Irene and Ercel.
