Richard “Rick” Wilbur

Richard “Rick” Wilbur, 48, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2015. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on November 3, 1966. He was a self-employed contractor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Virginia Arthur of Wellston, and a sister, Joanna Northrup, of Johnstown, Ohio.

He is survived by his mother, Linda (Richard) Shott of Johnstown, Ohio; his wife of 16 years, Kelley Myers Wilbur; two sons, Derrick Scott of Wellston and Preston Wilbur of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Jessica Wilbur of Pennsylvania; a brother, Bobby Ousley of Wellston; a sister, Darla Carpenter of Johnstown; two special nephews, Evan Wilbur of Johnstown and William Hamilton Jr. of Gallipolis; and nieces and a nephew.

A celebration of the life of Rick will be held Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at Bobby Ousley’s shop at the corner of East 2nd St. and Ohio Avenue in Wellston.

Arrangements are by the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston.
