Patsy L. “Patt” Grey, age 82, of Wellston, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born April 14, 1932 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Truman Hurst and Edna Smith Hurst Wood.
Patt was a 1950 graduate of Wellston High School. She was the former owner and operator of Pat’s Beauty Shop in Wellston. Patt was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston and the Chase Chapter #162 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by four children, Craig Grey of Wellston, Beckie Sparks (Tony) of Ray, Tony Grey (Karen) of Jackson and Brett Grey (Leanna) of Wellston; siblings, Chuck Wood (Susan) of Wellston, Diane Osborne of Wheelersburg, David Hurst (Shirley) of Pataskala and Connie Daily Coogan (Bill) of Newtown, as well as 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Patt was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Benonia A. “Benny” Grey in 2007.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating.
