Nellie (Jean) Hamilton Smith, age 83, passed away December 13, 2012. Formerly of Jackson, OH, she resided the last few years in London, OH near her loving daughter, Shirley Phillips. She was born May 7, 1929 to the late Gabriel and Dee Wheeler of Franklin Furnace, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Lee Hamilton, in 1981 and by Roy Smith; a step-daughter, Janet Kearns; five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by daughters, Patty (Tom) Lambert of Jackson and Shirley (Joe) Phillips of London, OH; sons, Mike (Cheryl) Hamilton and David Hamilton of Obetz; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a dear friend, Chester Ohlinger of London, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 17 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson, OH with Rev. Curt Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
