Maxine E. Barlow, age 94, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Four Winds Community Nursing Home. She was born July 16, 1921 in Perry County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett H. and Emma Ethel (Boyd) McCormick; her husband, John Wesley Barlow, Jr.; two daughters, Angela Owens and Christina Ann Barlow and four brothers: Bob, Dwight, Loren and Everett Eugene McCormick.
She is survived by children: Robert D. (Myrtle Ann) Adkins, James (Diann) Adkins, Jonette (Lynnie) Elkins, Tammy (Robert) Fisher and Peggy (Bobby) Bolling; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and close friends at Four Winds Community Nursing Home.
Maxine was a people person and loved church.
Friends will be received at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday, August 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 19, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Don Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
