Mark Lee Schauer, age 59, of Wellston passed away Monday, May 31, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born January 10, 1962 in Topeka, Kansas, to Edward Leroy Schauer and Barbara Harrison Duncan. Mark was a 1980 graduate of West Valley High School in Spokane, Washington. He was employed as a Senior Service Technician for Woda Cooper Companies for several years. Mark was an avid coin collector, as well as a collector of antique cars. He enjoyed mowing and working outdoors, playing pool, and spending time with his family. Mark was a member of both the V.F.W. Post #9092 and the American Legion Post #371, both of Wellston.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Barbara and Glen Duncan; wife, Leora M. Schneider Schauer; children, Jenny Schauer, Andrea Stevens (Todd), Greg Schauer (Cora Pelffey), Danielle Schauer (Tommy Miller), Sarah Schauer (Beau Little), Keleigh Schauer (Bill Greene), Megan Schauer (Samuel James), Kenny Plowman and Brian Plowman (Kortney); siblings, Jeffrey Schauer (Kimberly), Edward Schauer (Gail), Michelle Couvion (Paul), Lee Ann Duncan, and Amber Howell; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his four-legged babies, Tinky and Jet. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Leroy Schauer, and his grandparents.

Calling hours will be Saturday, June 5, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Patterson officiating.
