Marion Timothy “Tim” Thompson, Sr., age 69, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020, at his home. He was born July 15, 1951 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Robert L. Thompson, Sr. and Evelyn A. Henry Thompson.
Tim was a carpenter and contractor by trade and was also a former employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Jackson. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, as well as a mechanic who loved working on anything. Tim attended the First Baptist Church in Carroll, Ohio.
He is survived by his children, Melissa, Timmy, Lorena, Leslie, Angel, Mark, Doug, Eli and Michael “Pumkin”; brother, Robbie Thompson, Jr.; along with 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Thompson, Sr. and Evelyn A. Beabout; sisters, Birdie Engle, Betty Miller and Mary Parker; and brother, Marshall Thompson.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. and burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
